NIght Light - life is very difficult at times. I know so much how hard it is to lose baby puppies as my son's female has had several litters - it never changes how sad I feel when one or two does not make it and one time four out of five did not. You are very wise in realizing that your distress with the grief can cause you to do and say things you may regret. I truly trust that people around you will learn to respect your time and space for healing. It is also hard to know where one can understand and/or find God in these things but the main thing is to know that He is present with you. And I believe that He cares because He made the animals and cares about them just as much as He cares about us. If you need to talk - know that I am here - my prayers go out for your healing - June

Trisha, I don't know you well, but your spirit seems so strong and open. While I can feel your sadness, I admire your will. I know the loss of a pet, or should I say (pets) and one motto, I live by, is LORD, LET ME BE THE PERSON MY PET THINKS OR THOUGHT I WAS. Animals are the very definition of unconditional love. And their little souls do love just who we are, don't think for one minute the connection is lost... it has only been temporarily suspended. Please stop by anytime. Frankie

Awwwww Trisha . I just read about all the babies. I'm so sorry. I'm glad you are feeling better. You know, we don't always know what God's purpose is when things like this happen, but He does. Trust that He will one day reveal why. I'm glad you have some cute pictures of the pups so that you will always be able to look back at them. One good thing that came out of it is that the mama's inability to care for them allowed the two surviving puppies to feel the love of your family as you took over the care that mama couldn't do. If you weren't there, they would have had it even worse. I'm sure they felt loved . You did a good job.
